The club's primary racing kart, looking to compete in University of California Irvine's electric karting competition. The chassis was extended using a MIG welder alongside the rollcage to fit larger drivers. A fiberglass seat was also fitted for a more comfortable and stable driving experience. The drivetrain includes a 10,000 Watt motor with 4 LiIon (Lithium Ion) batteries from a Nissan Leaf totaling to 24 Volts. A new hydraulic brake system has been fitted in place of the old cable system. Our estimated driving completion date is November 17th, 2023.
